Lucas had tonsil and adenoid surgery on Christmas Eve to try to help his severe sleep apnea. We were scheduled for January, but had to be moved up because it was so bad. The hospital and staff was great and they (or Santa) even surprised us with 12 presents on Christmas morning for Lucas to open. I was very discouraged because the sleep apnea was still there after surgery and the doctor suspects that it might have something to do with his tongue or his brain. This morning, however, I have a shimmer of hope. Last night his oxygen monitor only went off 7 or 8 times compared to all night long before surgery. If the surgery was successful the doctor said it may take some time to see the results because of swelling. I'm soooo praying that the improvement I saw last night is just a small step in the right direction.
I want to thank my prayer partners from all over the country (from Oregon to New York)who have been holding us all up in prayer. Whatever the outcome it will be God's will and I'm sure it will be good. Thank you all so much!!!
