HOME STUDY

Finally, we got our home study Friday and I sent it overnight to Albany. Once we get it back I will overnight it to HOLT. I asked HOLT for some kind of time line and they said "about" 4 months after they get our dossier we should have our first court date. We have been told to expect not to pass the first court date, and the second one will be 6 weeks after the first. Travel will be 4 to 6 weeks after we pass court. So.....we still have quite a wait ahead of us.

I must say I have begun to get a bit nervous. This is a huge step in our lives and I know it will be a lot of hard work at first. I just feel so very confident that this is the right thing to do. There will be ups and downs as Lucas adjusts to his new life and our family changes and grows with it's new addition, for sure. I'm just so thankful to be able to offer a better life to this precious boy and hopefully give him the future he deserves.
