We received our I171-H today. This is a "notice of favorable determination concerning application for advance processing of orphan petition". It was for this form that we needed to get our fingerprints done on December 31st. It is from US immigration and is needed before we would be given a court date so...."One Less Thing" (again, you have to use the Forrest Gump voice when you read that phrase).
We are sending the I171-H, our notarized travel release forms, and our program fee to HOLT this week. Then we truly only can wait, and wait, and wait. Prayers please for paperwork to move quickly from place to place, for nothing to get lost, and for our documents to be translated accurately and quickly. Pray ALWAYS for Lucas and his caregivers and for the other children in care in Ethiopia.
We have some cyber friends coming home this weekend who may have held & hugged our son while they were in Ethiopia. I'll pass along any news I hear. I can't wait to find out if he can smile. :)
