We received conformation that our dossier made it to Eugene, OR and "It looks great." I'm so happy about that. We are praying that things go quickly so that we travel well before August. We just found out that the courts close in August and September (we don't know when or for how long) If we haven't passed court before then, we will have to wait for them to reopen.
This is all happening in God's time so we will continue to keep our trust in His perfect timing. The next things we will be expecting is our I174h form from USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) and then confirmation from HOLT that our dossier is in Ethiopia. We'll keep you updated.
Dress Our People
A "Walk to Emmaus " friend of mine, Debbie Underwood, started a mission called Dress Our People. She began making dresses and sending them to countries in need. She now has other people helping her and they have sent their clothes, that include dresses for girls and shorts and shirts for boys, to many places. I recently connected with her and will be transporting some of her clothes to Ethiopia when we travel. I am so excited to be a part of this mission and can't wait to share about the reaction of the children as they get their clothes and the special surprise tucked inside each outfit (a homemade hand puppet).
We too are awaiting the arrival of our I171H form, I'm praying it gets here this coming week so our dossier can be headed over seas as well!! Hmm Maybe ours will go together :-). I can only imagine how anxious your family is! Now are you all traveling or just mom and dad?
